Premier League predictions: Lawro v Mark Wright & Karen Hauer

BBC Sport's football expert Mark Lawrenson is pitting his wits against a different guest each week this season.

Strictly Come Dancing duo Mark Wright and Karen Hauer

FF predictions with Mark Wright

Lawro's opponents for this weekend's Premier League fixtures are The Only Way Is Essex star Mark Wright and his Strictly Come Dancing partner Karen Hauer.

West Ham fan Wright was a youth team player for Tottenham and later played for Southend. He retired at the age of 23 to concentrate on his TV career but his younger brother Josh plays for Millwall.

Hauer supports Scunthorpe and Chelsea because of her fiancé Kevin Clifton, who is a shareholder of The Iron and a Blues fan.

A correct result (picking a win, draw or defeat) is worth ONE point. Getting the exact score correct earns THREE points.

Last weekend, Lawro got six correct results from 10 Premier League games, including one perfect score. His total score of eight points saw him draw with author Roddy Doyle, who also got six correct results and one perfect score.

We're keeping a record of the totals for Lawro and his guests (below), and showing a table of how the Premier League would look if all of Lawro's predictions were correct (at the bottom of the page).

MONDAY

QPR v Aston Villa

QPR v Aston Villa (20:00 GMT)

I had to laugh at Harry Redknapp's spat with Adel Taarabt this week. I put it down to frustration from Redknapp because his QPR side had enough chances to win two games against Liverpool last time out, before losing in stoppage time.

A lot was rightly made about the impact Bobby Zamora made against the Reds on his first Premier League start of the season but Loftus Road is a small pitch that really suits him and I am not sure he will be as effective away from home.

QPR need to keep him fit for starters, but he does not have the same impact when there are wide open spaces.

Sunday was easily QPR's best performance of the season but they still have lot of improving to do - that was the first time this season they had looked like a top-flight team. In all their other games, they have looked more like a Championship outfit.

QPR manager Harry Redknapp

Harry Redknapp's side are bottom of the Premier League table after one win in their first eight games

So Redknapp has something to build on, but the next few weeks are going to be a real test for his team because Chelsea and Manchester City are their next opponents after Aston Villa

QPR are in a situation where they already need wins, but I cannot see them getting one against Villa.

Villa were rolled over far too easily by Everton in their last game, and they are on a run of four straight defeats, but three of those games were against Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal and I think they will find QPR easier opposition.

Lawro's prediction: 1-2

Mark and Karen's prediction: 2-2
